General Superintendent- Asphalt/Paving
 
We are looking for an experienced General Superintendent to run field operations for a paving/heavy highway contractor. The ideal candidate will have extensive prior experience as a general superintendent for a mid to large size asphalt paving construction company.
 
Responsibilities:

• To supervise all field operations including paving crews, milling crews, mass grading crews, storm drain, water, sewer and pipe crews.

Qualifications:

• At least 10 years working as a general superintendent for an asphalt paving contractor supervising at least 200 employees.
• Working knowledge of all types of heavy highway construction equipment.
• Proficiency with computers and office software.
• Knowledge of US and/or State DOT, OSHA and EPA regulations as pertaining to roadway construction projects.
• Regularly required to sit and/or stand during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day.
• Ability to lift, on a frequent basis, at least 25 pounds and carry up to 15 pounds.
