Job Title: Project Engineer - Government Construction 
   
Overview of the Company: 
Our client is a reputable general contracting company specializing in mid to large size commercial and government construction projects in the Chicago area. Their commitment to delivering high-quality results and ensuring project success is at the core of their operations. 
   
Key Responsibilities: 

• Provide support to project managers in leading and managing projects from initiation to completion. 
• Maintain high standards of quality control and coordinate project documentation. 
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and inspectors to ensure adherence to project schedules. 
• Assist in project estimating and administrative tasks as required. 
• Help monitor and participate in the review and approval process of all field related change orders, RFI's and construction drawings. 
• Properly complete and submit the Daily Production Reports to the client and home office regularly to conform with project requirements. 
• Manage submittal process as well as maintain the logs & folders 
• Contribute to safety and quality control measures for ongoing projects. 

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering. 
• 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Field Engineer. 
• Experience working with mid to large size commercial or government at-risk General Contractors in the Chicago area. 
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and project provisions. 
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
