Job Title: Facility Engineer

Company Overview:
Oversees and coordinates employees who maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, ventilation, refrigeration, and other building systems. Perform systems evaluations on facilities and determine what installation or repair services need to be performed, manage a budget, and create calculations to ensure operational efficiencies. Perform hands-on corrections of facility systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as Deputy Project Manager in the absence of the Project Manager, assisting with project oversight and coordination.
• Delegate work tasks and schedules to facility technicians in a collaborative environment.
• Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance for a range of systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and refrigeration units.
• Develop and manage the preventative maintenance program, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Evaluate team performance, manage incident investigations, and prepare necessary reports for management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in facilities management with hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of data analysis and reporting.
• Strong communication, analytical, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, OSHA regulations, and facility management best practices.

Certifications and Clearances:

• Preferred: Department of Energy (DOE) Q Clearance; can be obtained during the hiring process.
• Required: OSHA10 certification; OSHA30 preferred (may also be obtained during hiring).
• Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW-low voltage) certification required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to drive company vehicles as needed.

Note: The role may require lifting over 75 pounds and being available for on-call emergencies. The work environment may include an on-call rotation schedule.
