Job Title: SSHO - Federal Construction

Position Overview:
The Site Safety and Health Officer is responsible for managing and performing the daily safety responsibilities of specific projects to ensure compliance with USACE EM 385-1-1, Federal and State safety and health regulations, and corporate safety and health policies and procedures. The position oversees the overall safety procedures on a project-specific level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily safety and health inspections and maintain a written log of identified hazards and corrective actions
• Administer mishap investigations and complete required reports
• Attend pre-construction and pre-work meetings, as well as periodic in-progress meetings
• Track and review all licenses, training, certifications, and medical evaluations
• Perform daily toolbox safety meetings for all activities and conduct 'new hire' safety orientations onsite

• Degree in engineering or construction management preferred
• Current EM 385-1-1 and OSHA 30 Certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry in a safety management role
• Proficiency with computer software used in the construction industry
