Stationary Engineer

Overview:
Our client is searching for and experienced Stationary Engineer/Boiler Operator that is committed to maintaining a safe environment on local military bases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fires and operates boilers
• Monitors and interprets readings on meters, gauges, and charts
• Adjusts controls to ensure safe and efficient boiler operations
• Maintains log of various aspects of boiler operation
• Treats boiler water with chemicals and analyzes boiler water for acidity, causticity, and alkalinity

• Minimum Third-Class Power Engineer Certification by NIULPE or enough experience to pass NIULPLE test is required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the operation of boiler and/or chiller equipment
• Knowledge of boiler and/or chiller equipment O&M for a Central Energy Plant
• Previous supervisory or lead work is preferred
• Ability to work rotating shift hours are required
• Must be able to obtain security clearance for use of government computer.
• A valid Georgia Driver’s License and ability to maintain military gate pass access are required.
• Pay is $30.94/hr plus Fringe $6.42 (if paid out) or $7.10 (if you elect to use towards health/vision/dental insurance)
