Seeking a qualified project manager. The project manager is responsible for the overall management of commercial and industrial electrical construction activities. Candidates must be knowledgeable of the electrical trade, be able to
collaborate with employees, be self-motivated, be organized, and be an effective communicator.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Interpret, comprehend, and adhere to contracts, drawings, and specifications.
Understand, develop, and monitor construction schedules.
Perform estimates from electrical drawings for buy-outs or change management.
Develop purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
Manage the procurement, submittal, delivery, commissioning, and close-out of electrical
Prepare and manage accurate and complete submittals.
Review and interpret vendor submittals to ensure accuracy, completeness, proper coordination
with other equipment or building elements.
Prepare and manage progress billings in AIA format.
Prepare, submit, track, negotiate, and settle contract changes.
Prepare, submit, and track RFI’s, and other construction documents.
Report and resolve conflicts.
Monitor costs, production, and progress for adherence to budgets
Establish and maintain positive relationships with all project participants.
Travel to projects on a recurring frequency to ascertain project progress, collaborate with field
foremen, and attend meetings as required.
Protect project scope and monitor risk.
Work with project foreman for material procurements.
At least 4-years project management experience.
Electrical engineering degrees are a plus.
Journeyman or Master Electrician's license are a plus.
Working knowledge of construction contract language and terms.
Extensive knowledge of electrical and related systems.
Extensive knowledge of contract drawings and specifications.
Effective communications, management and organizational/planning skills.
Estimating fundamentals (quantity survey and pricing).
Exceptional analytical, motivational, and leadership skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Knowledge in Sage 300 CRE, Sage Estimating, and Timberscan are a plus.
