Are you an experienced and skilled Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting students in secondary education? Are you ready to take on the challenge of working with older students with SEN needs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team in Barnet London.

Position: Secondary School Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90.00 per day (depending on experience)

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 


Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a team to support students with SEN needs in a secondary school setting.
• Provide assistance and guidance to students with Autism, ADHD, and Behavioural Issues.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
• Support students during lessons, activities, and transitions to ensure their academic and social success.
• Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to create inclusive learning environments and promote student progress.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a secondary school environment with students with SEN needs.
• Confidence, patience, and a positive attitude when working with older students facing challenges.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to undergo the process, with registration on the update service.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced in providing support to secondary school students with SEN needs.
• Knowledgeable about SEN conditions such as Autism, ADHD, and Behavioural Issues, and strategies to support students effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and parents/carers.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to meet the diverse needs of students in a secondary school setting.
