This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong commercial awareness, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to confidently manage tenders from initial review through to project handover.

About the Role:

As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates while working closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and analysing tender documentation, drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Identifying project risks and understanding the commercial implications of tender documentation.
• Estimating material, fixture and labour requirements for electrical projects.
• Preparing accurate project costings and assessing overall project profitability.
• Developing commercially viable solutions to improve margins and project outcomes.
• Preparing and submitting competitive tenders within required timeframes.
• Maintaining and updating material and labour cost databases.
• Assessing whether works are best completed internally or subcontracted.
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and quotations.
• Building relationships with clients regarding current and upcoming project opportunities.
• Completing detailed handovers to Project Managers following successful tenders.
• Ensuring estimating procedures and processes are consistently followed across the business.
• Supporting a smooth transition from estimating through to project delivery.

About You:

To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience within electrical estimating.
• Strong knowledge of electrical materials, labour requirements and project costing.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify project risks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Confidence using Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel.
• The ability to manage multiple tenders and competing deadlines.
