As the Assistant Sales Manager, you will support the Sales Manager in overseeing the used vehicle sales department, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to the overall success of our dealership.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Sales Manager in leading and motivating the used vehicle sales team to achieve sales targets and maximise customer satisfaction.
- Support the sales process by assisting customers with inquiries, test drives, and vehicle presentations.
- Help maintain an attractive and organised showroom/yard, ensuring vehicles are clean, well-presented, and properly merchandised.
- Research and analyse competitor offerings to stay informed about industry trends and pricing strategies.
- Assist with managing inventory levels, including ordering vehicles, coordinating trade-ins, and ensuring a diverse selection of used cars.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
- Support the Sales Manager in monitoring and analysing sales performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records and reports related to sales activities, customer interactions, and vehicle inventory.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, industry developments, and dealership promotions to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Perform other administrative and operational tasks as assigned by the Sales Manager.
Requirements: - Previous experience in automotive used vehicle sales leadership is highly desirable.
- Experience in valuing and buying with a strong understanding of the market.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and team members.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in sales documentation and inventory management.
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of the automotive industry and familiarity with used vehicle market trends is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
