This is a unique opportunity for an experienced light vehicle roadworthy tester to join our new team and contribute to our growth.
  
  
About the role:
As a Roadworthy Technician, you will assess and recondition light to medium-duty trucks to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards for roadworthiness. Your expertise will ensure our customers receive reliable and safe vehicles.
  

• Conduct thorough inspections on light-medium duty trucks to identify necessary repairs and maintenance for roadworthy compliance.
• To prepare vehicles performing reconditioning tasks, including all mechanical repairs.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake replacements.
• Utilising diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve vehicle issues accurately.
• Ensure all work is completed following safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
• Collaborate with the workshop controller and service team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Collaborating with the service team to ensure timely and efficient repairs.

  
About you:

• Relevant trade qualifications and a roadworthy certificate for light vehicles
• Ideal experience working with commercial vehicles.
• Experience in reconditioning and roadworthy inspections in a dealership environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
• VIC Drivers licence

  
On Offer:

• Salary negotiated on experience plus overtime
• A $5000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible qualified Heavy Vehicle Technicians. $2500 will be paid after 30 days, and $2500 will be paid upon completing the probation period.
