We are seeking an experienced Auto Body Shop Manager to oversee our operations. As an experienced leader in the industry, you will focus on enhancing customer relationships, managing production, and ensuring efficient workflow. The role is heavily focused on interaction with insurance companies and clients.
About the role:
- Manage the department, working closely with production, administration, and parts departments to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
- Lead and motivate a team that includes administration, painters, panel beaters, fitters/techs, and apprentices.
- Foster a positive work environment and encourage professional development through training initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance companies, clients, and customers.
- Address and resolve complaints effectively to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Oversee job allocation among team members, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of work.
- Monitor production levels and implement strategies for cost reduction.
- Manage financial reporting and assist in budget preparation.
- Collaborate with the admin team to ensure authorised assessments are processed, parts are ordered, received, and allocated to jobs correctly.
- Provide accurate quotes for insurance companies, ensuring transparency and adherence to industry standards.
About you: - Proven experience in an auto body shop management role, ideally working with luxury European brands.
- Must have experience with iBodyshop software.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and train staff.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and cost management.
