As an experienced Wholesale Manager at Mercedes-Benz Brighton, you will oversee and drive the effective operation of our dealership’s wholesale division. This pivotal role supports our Sales Managers and ensures that stock acquisition, valuations, and wholesale processes are conducted with precision, profitability, and professionalism.
You will play a key role in monitoring stock, valuing vehicles, negotiating with wholesalers, and maintaining customer satisfaction, while ensuring our dealership remains competitive and profitable.
Key Responsibilities
- Value vehicles accurately to secure the highest rate of New and Pre-Owned sales without compromising quality or compliance.
- Establish and achieve wholesale targets in collaboration with Group Wholesale and the dealership Sales Managers.
- Identify trends and purchase pre-owned vehicle inventory based on current and forecasted market.
- Purchase stock from recognised wholesalers and the public, maintaining strong profit margins.
- Support Sales Executives with vehicle trade-ins and valuations promptly and assist throughout the trade-in process.
- Maintain strong relationships with staff, wholesalers, and customers, upholding the reputation of Mercedes-Benz Brighton.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies, procedures, and legal obligations.
- Provide reporting, forecasting, and support to leadership in achieving overall business goals.
About You To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Automotive industry experience valuing and purchasing vehicles, ideally within the prestige sector.
- Strong negotiation and bargaining skills with deep knowledge of wholesale processes.
- Proactive approach with ability to multitask and remain organised, along with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, administrative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in digital tools and technology, and understanding budgets and reporting.
