About the Role: As a Pre-Owned Sales Manager, reporting to the General Manager, you will be pivotal in driving sales performance and cultivating relationships within the local community. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading and mentoring a team of Pre-Owned Sales Consultants to achieve sales targets.
- Developing and implementing sales strategies to maximise profitability.
- Analysing market trends and data to inform pricing and inventory decisions.
- Building and nurturing relationships with customers and local businesses.
- Overseeing the trade-in/valuation process to ensure fair assessments.
- Maintain an attractive and organised showroom/yard, ensuring vehicles are clean, well-presented, and properly merchandised.
- Research and analyse competitor offerings to stay informed about industry trends and pricing strategies.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering vehicles, coordinating trade-ins, and ensuring a diverse selection of used cars.
- Utilise all networks to purchase suitable vehicles to sell.
- Conducting regular training sessions to enhance team product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Ensuring compliance with dealership policies and procedures.
- Promoting a positive work environment that embodies our client values and supporting behaviours.
About You: We are looking for candidates who possess:
- Previous experience in a dealership, specifically in Pre-Owned Sales Management.
- Strong understanding of the trade-in/vehicle valuation process.
- Ability to source vehicles through auctions and private listings.
- Build strong relationships with wholesalers.
- In-depth knowledge of the local pre-owned market, including vehicle pricing and demand.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven negotiation and closing skills.
- Familiarity with industry trends and vehicle specifications.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Valid driver's license and a current Victorian driver's License.
- Familiarity with systems such as Tune is desirable.
