Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical QA/QC Engineer to join a major data centre project in Hamina, Finland. This hands-on, site-based role involves inspecting mechanical installations, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and project specifications, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout construction. You will manage inspection and test plans, oversee pressure testing and system checks, resolve defects and non-conformances, and work closely with construction and commissioning teams to ensure mechanical systems are fully quality-approved and ready for commissioning and handover.

Requirements

• Experience as a Mechanical QA/QC Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Supervisor on major construction projects.
• Data centre or mission-critical project experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services, HVAC, pipework and critical cooling systems.
• Experience managing inspection and test plans, test packs, NCRs and quality documentation.
• Understanding of pressure testing, flushing, chemical treatment and commissioning readiness.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and coordinated BIM information.
• Knowledge of applicable mechanical installation standards and requirements.
• Strong communication, organisation and subcontractor management skills.
• Relevant mechanical engineering or building services qualification preferred.
• Relevant QA/QC qualifications advantageous.
