We are looking for a motivated Consultant or Senior Consultant to join a growing sustainability team and deliver a range of sustainability projects across the built environment.
The role will involve working with clients, developers, architects, engineers and wider project teams to integrate sustainability into the design and delivery of development projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking whole life carbon assessments and modelling,
- Circular economy strategies and BREEAM assessments, as well as
- Preparing sustainability statements, circular economy statements and other planning-related reports.
- You will help project teams understand the environmental impact of design decisions and provide practical recommendations to improve sustainability and reduce carbon.
Depending on experience, you will take responsibility for managing your own projects or specific workstreams within larger multidisciplinary projects, ensuring work is delivered to a high technical standard and within agreed timescales.
The role will also involve attending client and project meetings, running sustainability workshops, coordinating with design teams and providing clear technical advice throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate - Have experience in sustainability within the built environment, with knowledge of areas such as whole life carbon, embodied carbon, circular economy, BREEAM and sustainability planning.
- Experience with NABERS, Passivhaus or the UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard would be beneficial, while BREEAM Assessor/AP or relevant whole life carbon qualifications would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical, report writing, project management and client communication skills are essential.
