Are you an experienced Project Controls professional with a strong mechanical M&E background and advanced Primavera P6 expertise?
This is a senior role with significant responsibility for planning, scheduling, cost control, Earned Value, productivity and project performance. Working closely with construction, engineering, commercial and client teams, you’ll provide the insight and leadership needed to keep a complex project on track.
Your role
As Campus Project Controls Manager, you’ll take ownership of the project controls function, ensuring that schedules, costs, performance data and project risks are accurately monitored and effectively managed.
You’ll work at the heart of the project, connecting planning, engineering, construction and commercial teams and providing senior stakeholders with clear, actionable information.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development and maintenance of detailed, fully resourced construction schedules
- Managing the project baseline and ensuring schedules are accurately updated against actual site progress
- Taking ownership of overall schedule control and performance
- Tracking Earned Value (EV) and key project performance indicators
- Monitoring workshop fabrication and site installation outputs, including spent versus earned hours
- Analysing productivity and identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
- Monitoring original versus actual budgets and identifying cost variances, scope growth and corrective actions
- Managing formal project change control processes, including the identification and assessment of issues and changes
- Providing expert project controls input at internal and client-facing meetings
- Leading the preparation and delivery of weekly, monthly and ad hoc project controls reports
- Ensuring project controls systems, records and data remain accurate, reliable and up to date
- Acting as the key interface between planning, engineering, construction and commercial teams
- Providing senior management and clients with clear insight into schedule, cost, productivity and project risks
- Mentoring and developing junior project controls professionals and promoting best practice across the project

What we’re looking for We’re looking for an experienced Project Controls professional who can combine strong technical planning and commercial awareness with confident leadership and stakeholder management.
You’ll ideally have:
- A relevant third-level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- 5–8 years’ post-qualification experience in project controls
- Experience within a mechanical M&E contracting environment
- Advanced experience with Primavera P6, including planning, scheduling and resource management
- A strong track record in project controls leadership
- Experience managing complex construction schedules
- Strong knowledge of Earned Value, cost control and project performance management
- A strong understanding of mechanical construction sequences, productivity and site operations
- Experience working with senior clients and internal executives
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven leadership experience, including managing or mentoring project controls teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- The confidence to challenge performance, identify risks and drive proactive solutions
This role is mechanically biased, so strong experience within mechanical construction and M&E contracting is particularly important.
