We’re looking for an experienced Planner to join the team in Cork, supporting major engineering and construction projects across Cork and Limerick. This is an opportunity to take a key role in project planning and controls, working closely with Project Managers, construction teams and clients to ensure projects remain on programme and are delivered efficiently.
You’ll have responsibility for developing and maintaining construction schedules, monitoring progress, managing project reporting and identifying issues that could impact delivery. The role offers the opportunity to work across a range of projects while developing your project controls and commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop construction schedules in conjunction with the Project Manager and client.
- Produce fully resource and cost-loaded programmes.
- Maintain and regularly update construction schedules.
- Monitor planned versus actual progress.
- Work with construction teams to identify and track issues affecting programme delivery.
- Attend internal and client site meetings.
- Monitor budgets and identify scope growth or changes.
- Track fabrication and site installation progress.
- Maintain project information through internal systems.
- Lead the preparation and coordination of weekly construction reports.
- Provide accurate programme and progress information to the wider project team.
Skills & Experience - Relevant third-level qualification.
- Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally within an M&E contracting environment.
- Strong experience using Primavera P6.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work effectively with project, construction and client teams.
- Flexibility to visit and support other project locations when required.
