We’re looking for a Mechanical Estimator to join an established and growing engineering team based in Damastown. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically qualified professional with 1–2 years’ estimating experience to develop their career while gaining exposure to a wide range of projects and sectors.
The role sits within the Maintenance division, making an understanding of mechanical equipment, materials and processes particularly valuable. You’ll be involved throughout the tender process, working closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams while developing your commercial and technical expertise.

The Role
As a Mechanical Estimator, you’ll support the preparation and delivery of tenders from initial review through to completion.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare tenders for a variety of projects across Ireland and multiple sectors.
• Manage involvement in the full tender process from start to finish.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and schedules in detail.
• Attend site walks alongside the construction team.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, clients and other relevant parties.
• Evaluate, analyse and validate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare and issue tender RFIs and review client responses with the estimating team.
• Attend project meetings and site visits as required.
• Ensure tenders are accurate, commercially competitive and submitted within deadlines.

Skills & Experience

• 1–2 years’ experience in a similar estimating role.
• Relevant Mechanical Engineering or related qualification.
• Understanding of mechanical equipment, materials and processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Good working knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets and Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
• A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
