HV Project Manager
Manchester
£65,000 + car/car allowance + bonus
Fourblue working with an established electrical engineering business with a dedicated High Voltage division, delivering HV/LV engineering services and projects for its customers.
This is a great opportunity for someone who understands the technical side of HV project delivery but also enjoys the commercial, client-facing and business development side of the industry.
You’ll have ownership of your projects, budgets and customers, while identifying new opportunities with both existing and prospective clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking ownership of individual High Voltage projects, including operational and financial performance
- Developing project budgets and delivering against agreed forecasts and expectations
- Defining project scope and objectives, ensuring the correct technical requirements, stakeholders and resources are in place
- Managing project processes and procedures with a focus on right-first-time delivery and customer satisfaction
- Understanding and interpreting contracts, working alongside the Commercial and management teams where required
- Proactively managing project costs, efficiencies and performance to protect and improve profitability
- Building strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities to develop further work
- Seeking out new HV opportunities, producing quotations and progressing opportunities through to tender
- Leading and developing project teams, setting clear objectives and creating a strong performance culture
- Driving high standards of safety, quality and continuous improvement
- Ensuring operational delivery complies with company HV and LV Safety Rules, policies and relevant health & safety legislation
This role would suit someone with a strong background in the HV/LV electrical engineering sector who has already managed HV projects.
Ideally, you’ll bring: - 5+ years' relevant experience managing HV projects
- Detailed knowledge of the HV/LV electrical engineering services industry and market
- A recognised electrical qualification at NVQ Level 3 or above
- IOSH and/or SMSTS Health & Safety for Managers
- Previous experience leading, managing and developing teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and confidence managing project budgets and costs
