Fourblue are working with a growing IDNO who are now seeking an Control Engineer to join a growing electricity infrastructure business and play a key role within their Network Operations team.
This is a hands-on operational role focused on the safe and efficient control of LV, HV and EHV electricity networks, working closely with contractors, ICPs, DNOs and other key stakeholders to keep the network running safely and effectively.
The role
You’ll be responsible for monitoring and controlling network performance, coordinating planned switching and outages, and managing the response to faults and incidents.
You’ll also work with SCADA and remote monitoring systems, supporting the commissioning and integration of new network assets and ensuring operational records, switching schedules and network documentation are kept accurate and up to date.
A key part of the role will be coordinating contractors during planned and unplanned works, monitoring restoration activities and supporting incident investigations where required.
You’ll also support the ongoing inspection and maintenance of substations and network.
