Electrical Project Engineer – ICP

£60,000 + car/car allowance + 20% bonus
We are working with a leading employee-owned electrical engineering business who are playing a key role in the UK’s transition to Net Zero. They are now looking to appoint an ambitious Electrical Project Engineer to join their growing renewables team in Bristol.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer with HV and project delivery experience to develop their career on major UK infrastructure projects across renewable energy, energy storage, and electrical networks.

The Role You will support the delivery of high-voltage electrical and renewable energy projects ranging from 33kV to 400kV, working alongside experienced senior engineers and project teams. The role will cover the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through to installation and commissioning.
Responsibilities of the Project Engineer: - Supporting delivery of HV and renewable energy projects (£1m–£30m)
- Assisting with planning, coordination, and resource management to meet project milestones
- Ensuring technical standards and quality are maintained throughout project delivery
- Supporting health, safety, and environmental compliance across all works
- Working closely with design, commercial, and construction teams
- Liaising with key stakeholders including DNOs, TSOs, suppliers, and contractors
- Supporting site-based activities including installation and commissioning phases
Criteria of the Project Engineer: - 2–3 years’ experience in HV electrical engineering or a similar utilities/construction environment
- Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering (HV experience preferred)
- Strong technical understanding with good communication and organisational skills
- Experience supporting project delivery within engineering, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
- Working towards or interested in IEng/CEng (IET) accreditation
