Civil Site Manager

£75,000 + package
We’re looking for an experienced Civil Site Manager to join a high-performing transmission and renewables team, delivering critical infrastructure projects across high-voltage environments up to 400kV.
This is a hands-on site leadership role where you’ll be the go-to person responsible for coordinating daily operations, managing teams and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards from start through to final handover.
You’ll be working on major infrastructure projects supporting electricity transmission and renewable energy, helping to enable the energy networks that power everyday life.

Responsibilities of the Site Manager: - Lead daily site operations, managing operatives, subcontractors, and all site activities
- Develop and implement safety and quality documentation
- Monitor progress against programme and budget, reporting to project management
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to maintain clear communication
- Drive continuous improvement and contribute to a positive, collaborative site culture
Criteria of the Site Manager: - Strong experience within electricity transmission construction in the 66kV to 400kV range
- Good understanding of NEC contracts and HSE legislation
- Qualified in Civil Construction Engineering
- National Grid TP137 / SR163 authorised or previously authorised
- Certifications such as SMSTS, HSG47, TWS, First Aid, and NG NSI 8 are highly desirable
