Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter: - Assemble and test high voltage equipment, including outdoor substations up to 132kV
- Carry out inspections, ductor testing, and quality checks to ensure compliance standards are met
- Support and mentor less experienced team members
- Assist other members of the HV installation team where appropriate and safe to do so
- Represent the business professionally and uphold core values of health, safety and wellbeing, professionalism, pride, partnership, and proactivity
Criteria of the Mechanical Fitter: - 5+ years’ experience as a Mechanical or Electrical Fitter
- Hands-on experience with oxygen and propane brazing, and exothermic welding
- Experience working on new installation high voltage switchgear is advantageous
- Good understanding of BS7671 regulations is advantageous
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members is a plus
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
