Multi-Utility Site Supervisor/Manager
On-site role – South of England
£55,000 + benefits
We are seeking an experienced Multi-Utility (MU) Site Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day delivery of electrical, water, and gas construction activities on site. The successful candidate will ensure works are planned, coordinated, and executed safely, on time, within budget, and to specification. You will provide on-site leadership, quality control, and act as the main point of contact for the MU Project Manager, clients, statutory authorities, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the Site Supervisor/Manager:
- Plan and coordinate daily workfaces, leading multi-utility crews and subcontractors to achieve programme objectives
- Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings while verifying competencies, permits, and RAMS
- Maintain strict health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance, stopping works if necessary
- Manage site logistics, traffic management, temporary works, and ensure a tidy, secure worksite
- Monitor progress, risks, constraints, and variations, escalating issues with proposed mitigation strategies
- Keep accurate site records including daily diaries, inspections, test results, red-line drawings, photos, and handover packs
- Liaise with clients, residents, statutory undertakers, and local authorities to coordinate outages, connections, and reinstatement
- Supervise utility installations including ducting, joint bays, cable pulls, LV/HV terminations (where authorised), water mains and services, pressure testing, chlorination, and gas services with competent parties
- Conduct routine on-site audits, support pre-construction readiness surveys, and input to programmes and RAMS
- Maintain a professional presence during client visits and assist with business development where required
- Champion continuous improvement, lessons learned, and adherence to company procedures
Criteria of the Site Supervisor/Manager: - Solid understanding of multi-utility construction methods and specifications across electric, water, and gas networks
- Proficient in reading drawings, producing red-line/as-built documentation, ITPs, inspections, and test reports
- Confident user of MS Office and site management systems
- Skilled in risk assessment, problem-solving, and mitigation on site
