Electrical Commissioning Lead - Europe
Are you an experienced commissioning professional looking to take on a key leadership role within major international projects?
We are seeking an Electrical Commissioning Lead to join a high-performing engineering team delivering cutting-edge solutions across Europe.
About the Role:
In this position, you will play a central role in the commissioning of project systems as part of the CX team. You will take ownership of the electrical commissioning scope, support the development of commissioning strategy and help drive a strong commissioning ethos across all project phases.
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure that all client specifications, quality standards and documentation requirements are met in full.
This role offers exposure to a broad range of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, life sciences, data centres, semi-conductor, renewables and general construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project documentation to ensure commissioning and start-up requirements are fully considered.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining pre-commissioning and commissioning execution plans, including scheduling and mobilisation of resources.
- Prepare pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures in collaboration with specialist vendors and suppliers.
- Review performance test procedures and operating manuals with vendor teams.
- Execute pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities.
- Assist in preparing commissioning progress reports for the project management team.
- Support coordination of vendor representatives.
- Supervise performance tests where required.
- Assist the Project Manager with client liaison during handover phases.
- Lead and manage electrical energisation and testing teams.
- Support preparation of final reports and certification.
- Participate in meetings with management and subcontractors as necessary.
- Travel to project sites in Ireland and mainland Europe as required.
Skills and Requirements: - Degree in Electrical Engineering or Commissioning or equivalent relevant qualification.
- Electrical trade background (advantageous but not essential).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar commissioning role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and schematics.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and planning capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality-related software.
