In this role, you’ll be part of a team that designs, builds and commissions substations up to 400kV and constructs and maintains key transmission assets powering homes and businesses. What you’ll be doing
As a SHEQ Manager, you will take the lead on SHEQ performance across a portfolio of substation and renewables projects. Working closely with site operational teams, you’ll champion a strategic and forward-thinking approach to safety, health, environment and quality.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring compliance with SHEQ standards while driving continuous improvement.
- Supporting client relationships and delivering against strategic SHEQ plans.
- Leading all incident and accident investigations, including Root Cause Analysis.
- Acting as a visible behavioural safety leader and role model.
- Leading and facilitating SHEQ and client meetings.
- Identifying issues, resolving them promptly, or escalating where necessary.

What you’ll bring: - Experience in the utilities and/or construction sector.
- Confidence in engaging with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to build understanding of client needs, systems and objectives.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a commitment to safe working practices.
- NEBOSH qualification (essential).
- Full UK driving licence - travel across sites, including occasional overnight stays, is required.
