The Role As a
Mechanical Construction Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of on-site mechanical construction — from planning and coordination through to commissioning and handover. You’ll manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and keep projects on track to meet deadlines and budget targets.
You’ll work on a 17 days on / 4 days off rotation, providing flexibility while being part of a high-performing international project delivery team.
Key Responsibilities - Oversee mechanical construction activities from design through to completion and handover
- Plan project schedules, deliverables, and manpower requirements, including lookahead reports
- Monitor progress and proactively resolve potential delays or issues
- Lead on-site safety and quality inspections, ensuring full compliance with project standards
- Supervise and mentor teams of supervisors and craft workers (up to 100 personnel)
- Coordinate commissioning activities, ensuring timely completion and issue resolution
- Liaise with senior management, clients, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery
- Maintain accurate reporting on productivity, progress, and performance
About You - 10+ years’ experience in a Construction Manager or Senior Supervisor role (pharmaceutical experience essential)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing large teams and complex site operations
- Strong technical expertise in mechanical piping systems — installation, welding, testing, and handover
- Solid understanding of mechanical quality standards and health & safety protocols (RAMS, SPA, etc.)
- Proficient with Navisworks and reading isometric drawings
- Commercially aware with strong scheduling and project management skills
- Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or related discipline preferred
- EU passport essential (to meet travel and working requirements)
