We are looking for a Production Operative 
£12.81 an hour
Location: Wellington, Somerset 
Immediate start
Shift: Rotating shifts Week 1: Monday - Thursday 6am-2pm, Friday 6am-12pm Week 2: Monday - Thursday 2pm-10pm Friday 12pm- 6pm
Temporary to permanent contract
 
JDR is recruiting for a Production Operative to work in a large manufacturing site in WELLINGTON, SOMERSET.
 
The role: As a Production Operative you will be working within a manufacturing environment and your duties will be as followed:

• Required to set up and calibrate machines as appropriate
• Required to inspect parts and packaging to ensure they are accurate and within specification
• Undertakes the accurate hand packing of a variety of products for despatch.
• Maintains set production targets.
• Completes accurately company & customer paperwork as required
• Intakes & despatches departmental raw material and goods following the correct procedure
• Maintains good housekeeping standards at all times.
• Required to be multi-skilled and cross-functional.
• Required to safely operate a variety of automated & manual machines and processes products into 'finished' product adhering accurately to the instructions detailed on a route card. 

About you: As a Production Operative you will have the following skills and experience:

• Start immediately and are looking for long term work
• Basic literacy & numeric skills
• Able to speak, read & write basic English
• Previous factory experience
• Previous machinery experience
• Health & safety awareness
• Quality standards
• Identify non-conforming product and take appropriate action
• Fault find and remedy basic quality issues
• Fault find and remedy basic machine issues
• Raise & report machine faults
