Job Title: Production Operative
Pay: £12.21ph
Location: Pontypool, NP4
Start Date: Immediate
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7am - 3:30pm

JDR Recruitment are currently looking for reliable and hard-working Production Operative to join our client's team based in Pontypool NP4. This is a great opportunity for long-term work with the potential to go permanent.
 
The Role:

Your role as a Production Operative will include being responsible for setting, operating and day-to-day maintenance of cutting machines. The other part of your role will include bonding what you've produced following work sheets to set specifications. You will be required to see the process end to end from cutting materials and putting the design together. You will be working as part of a team to achieve daily output targets and contributing towards maximising profitability and growth.
 
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Operating machinery and equipment on the production line following pre start checks
• Mixing products to specification to use for bonding products
• Working to job sheets, within set timeframes and completing paperwork when required
• Performing quality checks to ensure product standards are met
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Reporting any faults, issues, or defects to supervisors
• Following health & safety guidelines at all times
• Meeting daily production targets

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Health & Safety awareness
• Knowledge and experience of reading engineering drawings
• Previous production/manufacturing experience
• Previous machine operator experience
• Good Communication Skills
• Time Management Skills
