Job Title: Production Operator Pay: £12.21 per hour Location: Pontypool Start Date: Immediate Shift: Monday to Friday, 07:00am - 3:30pm Additional information: Must have some construction experience
Job Description:
JDR Recruitment are currently looking for reliable and hard-working Production Operators to join our client's busy manufacturing team based in Pontypool. This is an excellent opportunity for long-term, full-time work with the potential to become permanent.
The Role:
As a Production Operator, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day manufacturing process, supporting the production team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating production machinery and equipment safely
• Assisting with the assembly and finishing of manufactured products
• Loading and unloading materials
• Carrying out basic quality checks
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area
• Following health & safety procedures at all times
• Supporting other production and workshop tasks as required

This role is hands-on and can be physically demanding, requiring good manual handling ability.
About You:
We're looking for someone who:

• Must have previous experience working within a construction-related environment (e.g. building materials, fabrication, site or workshop-based work)
• Has previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential)
• Is reliable, punctual, and has a positive attitude
• Works well as part of a team and can follow instructions
• Takes pride in maintaining a safe and tidy workspace
• Has their own PPE (safety boots, hi-vis, gloves, etc.)
• Has access to transport due to the site location
