We are looking for a Quality Inspector 
Pay: Competitive salary
Location: Taunton
Hours: Optional of two shifts to choose from of Monday - Thursday 7am-7pm or Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm
Immediate start
Temporary position with the possibility that it may become permanent
 
JDR is recruiting for a Quality Inspector to work in a large manufacturing site in Taunton.
 
The role: The Quality Inspector will perform inspections, checks, tests and sampling procedures of incoming materials, parts and components used in the manufacture of products, partially assembled or fully finished.

• Perform inspections of finished company products according to well defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/or electrical measurements.
• Reject finished products as required, reporting to appropriate levels of the organisation.
• Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing.
• Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.
• Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action.
• Work with production management and QA team to provide feedback to assemblers regarding accuracy of assembly test data.
• Perform review of Device History Records and other documentation for compliance to established procedures and good documentation practices.
• Attend training courses as appropriate to the work.
• Help support the QA team as needed

About you: As a Quality Inspector you will have the following skills and experience:

• Start immediately and are looking for long term work
• Must have good English written and verbal communication skills
• Good arithmetic skills are required
• Working knowledge of measurement instruments essential
• General proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Effective communicator
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-moving production environment
• Positive, can-do attitude and approach to all situations and problems
• 2+ years Quality Control experience in Receiving Inspection is preferred
• You will be able to travel to Taunton
