We are currently recruiting for a permanent display and installation technician based around the Birmingham area (B98)
Main duties
Retail (Bathrooms) Sales Support
In support of the Retail Sales Team, you will be required to assist in the implementation of branded showroom refurbishments. This process will involve:
Installation of new bathroom displays.
Presentation of new sample display stands.
Maintain and upgrade of existing bathroom displays as required.
Installation of marketing material (POS).
Should the company enter into any exhibitions or trade events you will be required to assist in the setup & breakdown of stands and POS.
Retail (Heating) Sales Support
In support of the Retail Sales Team, you will be required to assist in the implementation of branded showroom refurbishments. This process will involve
Installation of new Fire/Surround displays.
Maintain and upgrade of existing displays.
Installation of marketing material (POS).
General decoration in the form of wallpapering and painting as and when required.
Should the company enter into any exhibitions or trade events you will be required to assist in the setup & breakdown of stands and POS.
Contract Sales Support
In support of the Contract Sales Team, you will be required to undertake:
Installation of Fires/Suites and bathroom furniture to national housebuilder developments
Minor furniture remedial works post installation.
Should the company enter into any exhibitions or trade events you will be required to assist in the setup & breakdown of stands and POS.
Head Office Support
In support of Head Office activities, you will be required to undertake
Installation and/or remodelling of new bathroom displays to showroom.
Installation and/or remodelling `of new fire/surround displays to showroom.
Any other reasonable requests for general joinery, maintenance & repairs as necessary
Time Management: Normal working hours are Monday – Friday 08:30 to 17:00 with a ½ hour lunch break (40 hours), however as your position is field based you will be required to manage your time & area in both a ‘flexible’ and efficient manner as is possible. Company Vehicle: You will be provided with a Company Vehicle. This vehicle remains the property of the client at all times you will adhere to the rules and regulations of the highways code and any local authority restrictions such as parking.
Your Region: This is a National Role therefore overnight stays will be necessary.
Holidays: You are entitled to a total of 23 days annual leave per year plus 8 statutory days
Manual Labour: The nature of this role does require a certain level of physicality as you will be required to move, lift and install products both in store and in residential properties. Therefore, care should be taken with any lifting motion and you will be expected to work using a safe and proper practice in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines provided by the company
Salary is £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience
Qualifications
Proven experience in a fitting role Strong knowledge of fitting techniques and materials Proficient in using hand and power tools
