Job Title: Buyer
Location: Manchester
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (DOE)
Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site

Job Responsibilities:

• Sourcing and purchasing chemicals and raw materials
• Negotiating contracts and managing cost-effective agreements
• Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
• Ensuring the timely delivery of materials to meet production needs
• Analysing market trends and making data-driven purchasing decisions
• Ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards
• Collaborating closely with internal teams across supply chain and production
• Using procurement systems and tools effectively to streamline operations

• Proven experience in sourcing and purchasing within the chemical or manufacturing sector
• Strong negotiation skills and contract management expertise
• Knowledge of supplier performance management and delivery logistics
• Awareness of EHS compliance standards
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in procurement software
• Degree in Chemistry, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
• CIPS Level 4 qualification or higher (preferred)
