Job Title:
Trade Desk Analyst 

Salary:
Up to £40,000 DOE 

Location: 
Lytham St Annes

Hours: 
09:00am - 17:00pm (Monday to Friday) 

We are looking for a dynamic trade desk professional who has relevant and recent experience within the energy sector. In this role you will navigate energy markets, identify trading risks and support across procurement activities.


Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimise our clients trading portfolio
• Identify and mitigate trading risks, including price volatility and liquidity
• Lead tendering for gas and electricity, with clear analysis and recommendations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with counterparties and partners
• Produce accurate procurement reports and advise clients on procurement services
• Support renewable asset integration and PPA reporting
• Provide insights into new product development
• Monitor energy hedge positions and support full trade lifecycle (pre-trade to settlement)
• Maintain high-quality records and compile reports/statistics as needed

• Deep understanding of energy markets, drivers, and non-commodities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines
• Collaborative mindset with ability to work cross-functionally
• Bonus: Experience in utilities, trading, market analysis, or power scheduling
