Freight (Import) Account Manager

Location:
Dartford

Salary: 
£30,000 per annum + (DOE) 

Hours:
Choose between - 08:00am - 16:00pm / 09:00am - 17:00pm / 10:00am - 18:00pm

Type:
Initial 6 month FTC

Do you have experience of working within logistics across imports or exports? Are you experienced within Sea Freight processes and procedures? We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our key clients in Dartford and this could be the perfect role for you!


Job Responsibilities:

• Checking all shipping documents are accounted for and accurate
• Building relationships with overseas and forwarding agents
• Dealing with a range of queries and resolving as soon as possible
• Processing all shipment approvals and ensuring that all shipments are conducted in the most cost-effective way possible
• Manage payments across shipping lines
• Charging and raising subsequent invoices
• Dealing with and managing new business along with existing customers
• Supporting across all department administration duties
• Answering incoming calls and escalating wherever required

• Experience across imports and / or exports
• Knowledge and understanding of Sea Freight 
• Experience of managing a number of accounts 
• Being able to deal with new business enquiries 
• Excellent team worker 
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
