We are recruiting a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to take a senior technical and leadership role within a well-established geotechnical consultancy delivering complex UK infrastructure and government projects.
This role suits a senior professional with a strong grounding in both geology and geotechnical engineering, who can lead teams, provide technical authority and manage projects requiring high levels of assurance and compliance.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Safeguard confidential information and intellectual property.
• Promote health and safety for yourself and others.
• Lead detailed geotechnical investigations, including drilling and analysis of soil and bedrock samples.
• Manage geotechnical and geo-environmental site investigations from scope to completion.
• Apply advanced geotechnical engineering principles and project management skills.
• Use industry-standard software such as FREW, SLIDE, Settle 3D, and Plaxis.
• Ensure compliance with Eurocode 7, UK annex design codes, and construction specifications.
• Lead and review geotechnical design, analysis and technical reporting
• Line manage, mentor and develop engineers and geologists

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Geology with an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years' experience working in the UK within geotechnical or ground engineering consultancy
• Proven experience delivering a mixture of projects, including infrastructure and government-related schemes
• Experience working on projects requiring SC (Security Check) clearance, or eligibility to obtain clearance
