About the Role
We are recruiting a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer for an expanding multidisciplinary consultancy working across geotechnical, environmental and ground investigation projects throughout the UK. You will take a lead technical role, managing complex assignments, providing specialist geoenvironmental insight, and delivering high-quality assessments that support planning, design and risk management
 
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geoenvironmental and ground investigation projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare and review Phase 1 & Phase 2 reports, including desk studies, risk assessments and interpretative findings.
• Conduct contaminated land, ground gas, groundwater and mining risk assessments.
• Develop remedial strategies and validation reporting where required.
• Supervise site investigations, monitoring programmes and fieldwork logistics.
• Provide geotechnical assessment input (e.g., slope stability, settlement, foundation considerations).
• Write clear, technically sound reports, logs and client deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and consultants, supporting their professional growth.
• Ensure compliance with relevant British Standards, industry guidance and health & safety protocols.

Experience & Qualifications

• Degree (BSc/MSc) in Environmental Science, Geology, Geoenvironmental Engineering or related discipline.
• Typically 5+ years' experience in a geoenvironmental/ground engineering consultancy or similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of current British and industry standards relevant to geoenvironmental practice (e.g., BS standards and EA/LCRM guidance).
• Proven experience in project management, technical report writing and client liaison.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• CSCS card, site supervisor safety qualification (e.g., SSSTS/IOSH) and UK driving licence preferred.
