The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior geoenvironmental engineer to join a growing consultancy team. The role will suit a technically strong consultant with broad experience in contaminated land and risk assessment, who is comfortable leading projects, managing clients and supporting the development of junior staff.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver contaminated land projects, including site investigation and remediation
• Provide high-level technical input on complex and large-scale schemes
• Design, implement and verify environmental remediation works
• Manage client, regulator and stakeholder relationships to ensure successful delivery
• Contribute to business development and manage key client accounts
• Produce high-quality, technically robust and commercially focused reports
• Support and mentor junior staff, encouraging professional development

Requirements

• Degree qualified (or higher) in a relevant science-based discipline
• Minimum 5 years' experience in contaminated land consultancy, with a focus on DQRAs
• Proven track record of delivering successful projects
• Competent with environmental risk assessment and modelling software
• Strong project management and leadership skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Membership of a relevant professional body with ongoing CPD
• Geotechnical experience desirable but not essential
