Our client is one of the UK's leading private Engineering Consultancies, is seeking an experienced Principal Engineer, Bridges to join their team in the Glasgow office. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of public and private projects, collaborating with interdisciplinary departments and building strong relationships with clients.

Preferred Requirements:

Prepare bridge design calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and other project documentation in line with company, client, and industry standards
Utilise specialist bridge analysis software such as MIDAS, LUSAS and Autodesk Structural Bridge Design to undertake complex modelling of bridges
Provide technical leadership in the resolution of complex engineering challenges
Supervise and mentor other engineering team members, contributing to their professional development
Attend design meetings and site inspections, fostering strong client relationships

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in civil engineering and Chartered professional status
Substantial structural design experience within the bridges sector and in a consultancy environment
Previous relevant site experience, including the supervision of large, complex bridge engineering projects
