With offices across the UK our client are specialist in site investigation projects from commercial, residential, highways, rail and energy.

Due to increase in workload our client is looking to expand the Northwest office. We are currently looking for a senior geoenvironmental engineer to work from our clients greater Manchester office.

Job Description

You will be working on Good working knowledge of relevant and up to date British Standards (eg BS EN 5930), Industry Guidance (eg EA LC:RM) and NHBC Standards. You will manage our clients projects and be involved in Phase 1&2 report writing, Coal Mining Risk Assessments, Remediation Strategies, Validation Reports and Geotechnical Assessments.

• Supervision, reporting and management of geo-environmental assignments.
• Monitoring of gas and groundwater levels and groundwater sampling.
• Liaison with sub-contractors and clients assisting in the delivery of projects.
• Technical report writing (including Desk Studies and Ground Investigation Reports).
• Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements for ground investigations.
• Self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and independent thinker with an enthusiastic approach to work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CSCS card
• SSSTs or IOSH equivalent site supervisor certificate
• First Aid training
• Cat and Genny trained.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Minimum experience of 5 years, working towards chartership for a consultancy or contractor. You will be degree qualified/HNC qualified.
