The role:
As part of the Centacare team, our Rostering Officers play a vital role in providing centralised rostering support for our community-based and in-home programs. We prioritise collaboration with service delivery staff to achieve outcomes centred around our clients. You will help Centacare continue to provide person-centred support to older individuals and people with disabilities, assisting them in maintaining their lifestyles in line with our Mission, Vision, and Values.
This 12 month fixed-term full-time Rostering Officer position will be based at Stones Corner and is an office-based role with work from home options available, dependent upon training requirements during the probation period.
Key Duties:
- Respond to roster requests within designated timeframes, addressing urgent requests promptly.
- Fill shifts promptly to minimise client disruption and maximise cost efficiency.
- Manage staff queries regarding rosters and communicate changes effectively.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including run sheets, case notes, and rosters.
- Proactively plan upcoming rostering activities.
- Adhere to business procedures and WH&S policies, promoting a safe working environment.
Skills and Experience: - High level of resilience, flexibility, and exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong ability to prioritise tasks and think quickly.
- Ability to use your initiative when managing your workload, with a solutions-focused approach.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Familiarity with Client Information Management Systems such as AlayaCare an advantage.
Essential requirements for the role: - Minimum of two years’ experience in high volume Rostering/Scheduling in large scale Community Services providers, ideally Disability and/or Aged Care.
- Demonstrated organisational, time management and problem solving skills to maximise efficiency in a busy rostering environment.
- Current QLD Working with Children Check – ‘Blue Card’ and NDIS worker screening clearance (or eligibility for).
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module - Quality, Safety and You
- Evidence of Australian Work Rights.
- Current Australian Federal Police Criminal History Check.
