Kedron & Stafford Parishes, Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane
The Parishes of St Therese of Lisieux & St Anthony of Padua (Kedron) and Our Lady, Queen of Apostles (Stafford), staffed by the Franciscan Friars of the Holy Spirit Province, are seeking a dedicated and proactive Groundsman to maintain and enhance the parish grounds.
We are a prayerful, caring community in the spirit of St Francis of Assisi, striving to create a welcoming and well-maintained environment for our parishioners.
About the Role
This permanent part-time position requires 30 hours per week, split between our two parish locations:
- Kedron Parish (Monday, Tuesday, and half of Wednesday)
- Stafford Parish (half of Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) A six-month review will be conducted to ensure mutual satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities - Maintain and develop grounds at the church, parish hall, and parish house.
- Mow lawns and care for garden areas, including planting and landscaping.
- Arrange pest control spraying and treatments.
- Operate equipment such as a mower, whipper snipper, and hedge cutter.
- Assist with manual work and general repairs across all parish sites.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
✔ Experience in grounds keeping, gardening, or landscaping.
✔ Ability to work independently and take initiative.
✔ Basic knowledge of tools and equipment maintenance.
✔ A commitment to maintaining a welcoming and presentable parish environment.
✔ Physical capability for outdoor manual work.
