About Us

The Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane positively impacts the lives of hundreds of thousands of Queenslanders each week. Through our 94 parishes, 146 schools, and 190 community service centres—including kindergartens, childcare, aged care, disability care, and family support services—we provide essential outreach to some of the most vulnerable in our community.

Archdiocesan Services supports the Mission of the Church by providing expert advice and business services to parishes and agencies in the areas of finance, property, human resources, technology, communications, and government relations.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Grants Coordinator to manage and enhance our grants process, ensuring a strategic and coordinated approach to securing funding. This role supports parishes and agencies in identifying funding opportunities, preparing high-quality grant applications, and developing internal capability in grants management.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure grant funding that aligns with the Mission of the Church.
• Support agencies and parishes in the preparation and submission of grant applications.
• Develop and maintain best-practice systems for grants administration, ensuring compliance and accountability.
• Provide expert advice on available funding opportunities and grant writing best practices.
• Build relationships with funding bodies and key stakeholders to enhance funding success.
• Ensure timely reporting, financial tracking, and acquittal of grants.
• Maintain accurate records of grants and funding prospects.

About You

• Qualifications: An undergraduate degree in a relevant field involving research and writing.
• Experience: At least 2 years in grant writing, tender writing, or regulatory reporting.
• Skills:
• Excellent writing, research, and project management skills.
• Strong IT literacy (Microsoft Office, databases, web applications).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.

Other Requirements

• National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Current driver’s licence.
