We are seeking to appoint a permanent part-time Cook at Windsor Neighbourhood Childcare Centre. The service caters for up to 54 children and take great pride in our diverse menu prepared each day on site in our equipped commercial kitchen.

Hours: Permanent Part-time, 7.30-1.30 Monday - Friday
Remuneration: 10.25% Above award Rates, be recognised for your experience and knowledge. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare healthy, balanced, and age-appropriate meals and snacks for children from babies to kindergarten age.
• Adhere to dietary requirements, allergies, and cultural preferences of children.
• Ensure all meals meet the nutritional guidelines set by the centre.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage kitchen supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed.
• Collaborate with staff to create meal plans and menus.
• Engage with children in a friendly and positive manner, promoting healthy eating habits.
• Participate in centre events and activities as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a childcare or similar setting i.e. Aged Care.
• Knowledge of child nutrition and dietary requirements.
• Certification in Food Handling and Safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive and energetic attitude.
