Location:
Grovely Parish of St William's, Samford and Mitchelton Parish Hours: 15-20 hours per week (flexible scheduling during office hours)

About the Role: The Pastoral Minister Coordinator will support the Parish Priest in organizing and delivering parish services through the coordination of various pastoral activities and programs. This role will focus on developing and implementing initiatives such as Liturgical Ministry, Pastoral Care, and Adult Faith Education. The Pastoral Minister Coordinator will engage parishioners, empowering them to utilize their gifts across a variety of ministries within the parish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate baptism preparation meetings, ensuring support and guidance for families.
• Collaborate with the Parish Priest and other staff to enhance parish community engagement and support.
• Oversee the coordination of Ministers of the Word and Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, including roster management and training.
• Identify and celebrate key liturgical seasons and community-building events throughout the year.
• Work with Music Ministry leaders to grow and develop music initiatives across worshipping communities.
• Ensure compliance with Archdiocesan Mandatory Training, copyright, and privacy obligations.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for all parishioners, particularly children and vulnerable adults.

Skills and Qualities:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster respectful relationships.
• Flexible leadership capabilities, demonstrating group facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a small team.
• Commitment to the values and teachings of the Church, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
• Organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Relevant qualifications or experience in theology, spirituality, religious education, or a willingness to undertake formal training.
