Our Centre
Located at Star of the Sea Primary School, our childcare service has proudly served the community for over 10 years. We offer a warm and nurturing environment for up to 75 children, from as young as 6 weeks to 6 years old. With operating hours from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., we provide a dynamic and rewarding workplace for those passionate about early childhood care.
About the Opportunity:
We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic educators who are passionate about supporting children in their early years. You love helping them fulfil happiness through growing, development, and are committed to seeing them learn, all while having fun in a comfortable safe environment.
Hours: Casual hours
Remuneration: Hourly pay rate level 3.1 $37.44 – level 3.4 $42.16 (inclusive of casual loading), depending on qualifications and experience and as per the Children’s Services Modern Award 2010.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the children to create fun recreational and educational experiences that support their well-being.
- Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment.
- Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
- Participate in professional and personal development.
- Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare’s expectations and educational philosophy.
Job Requirements: - Holds a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care OR ACECQA Equivalent (or working towards)
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Knowledge and understanding of the child care industry practices including legislative requirements and quality frameworks.
- A passion for the education and care of children aged 6 months -Kindergarten aged in a play-based learning environment
- Effective workplace communication skills
