At Star of the Sea OSHC, we provide Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care for up to 45 children in a warm, community‑focused environment.

A Day in the Life of an OSHC Educator

• Provide nurturing care and meaningful support for children
• Create a safe, secure and welcoming environment
• Plan and deliver fun, inclusive recreational and educational activities
• Build positive relationships with children, families and team members
• Work collaboratively within a supportive, passionate team
• Enjoy exciting excursions during vacation care
• Finish each day knowing you’ve made a genuine difference in children’s lives

Job Requirements:

• Hold (or are working towards) a Diploma in Children's Services or an ACECQA approved equivalent.
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Hold Childcare First Aid or CPR - or be willing to attain
• Current Child Protection training - or be willing to attain
• A passion for the education and care of school-aged children in a play-based environment
• Effective workplace communication skills
