About the Role
Two permanent part-time positions are available for this role, each offering 21 hours per week, with the following work patterns: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, or Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. Working closely with the Rector, you will provide comprehensive administrative support across a broad range of Seminary activities. The role is varied and hands on, requiring initiative, discretion, and a collaborative approach.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the Rector in the smooth running of Seminary activities.
- Coordinating communications, records, events, and administrative processes.
- Building positive relationships with seminarians, clergy, staff, volunteers, and visitors.
- Overseeing facilities, maintenance, and contractor coordination.
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, WHS, and other organisational requirements.
- Collaborating with Archdiocesan teams and external service providers.
- Helping create a welcoming, organised, and professional environment for all who visit and work within the Seminary.
About You You'll be someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a varied role, and takes pride in keeping things organised and running smoothly. You'll bring a positive, can do attitude, excellent attention to detail, and the confidence to manage multiple priorities while building strong relationships with a wide range of people.
To succeed in this role you'll have:
- Experience in administration, office coordination, or office management.
- Effective organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Well developed computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to work independently, show initiative, and solve problems as they arise.
- A professional, discreet, and confidential approach when handling sensitive information.
- A collaborative, service focused approach.
- Experience coordinating facilities, contractors, or operational activities will be highly regarded.
- Have a current Paid Blue Card and National Criminal History Check (or have the ability to obtain)
