Employment: Permanent Part-Time - 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm)

About the Role
Reporting to the Parish Priest, you'll oversee the daily operations of the parish office, ensuring everything runs smoothly while supporting parish ministries, volunteers and staff. You'll lead a small team and coordinate a wide range of administrative, operational and community focused activities that help the parish flourish. This is a varied role that combines office management, people leadership, stakeholder engagement, property coordination and parish administration, making every day different and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the parish office.
- Support and supervise the Finance Officer, and Housekeeper.
- Coordinate parish administration, records and communications.
- Build positive relationships with parishioners, volunteers and community groups.
- Oversee parish facilities, maintenance programs and contractor engagement.
- Coordinate safeguarding, WHS and compliance requirements.
- Assist with sacramental, funeral, wedding and parish administration.
- Support the Parish Priest with operational planning and administration.
- Liaise with Archdiocesan teams and external service providers.
- Foster a welcoming, organised and professional parish environment.
About You You'll enjoy working with people and be passionate about supporting your local community. You're an organised leader who can confidently manage competing priorities while building positive relationships with people from all walks of life.
To be successful, you'll bring:
- Experience in office administration or operations management.
- Previous experience leading or coordinating a small team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and learning new systems.
- The ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Experience coordinating facilities, contractors or operational activities will be highly regarded.
- An understanding of, or willingness to support, the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
- A current Paid Blue Card and National Criminal History Check (or the willingness to obtain both)
