Location: Springfield Parish - Our Lady of the Southern Cross, Springfield QLD Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time
Work Arrangements: 32 hours per week On-site | Tuesday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Parish Manager to oversee the day-to-day administration and operational management of Our Lady of the Southern Cross Parish.
Working closely with the Parish Priest, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the effective operation of the parish office, managing financial and administrative functions, supporting volunteers, maintaining parish facilities, and working collaboratively with Archdiocesan teams to ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
This is a diverse and rewarding role suited to someone who enjoys managing multiple priorities, building relationships and contributing to the life and mission of the Catholic Church.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day to day parish office operations
- Manage core financial processes (invoicing, banking, planned giving, budget support)
- Prepare reports, correspondence and key documentation
- Coordinate communications, including newsletters and website updates
- Maintain accurate parish records and systems
- Coordinate volunteers, contractors and parish activities
- Manage facilities, bookings and maintenance coordination
- Support compliance across safeguarding and WHS
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Parish Priest
- Build effective relationships with Archdiocesan teams, schools and stakeholders
About You - Experience with office and financial administration or operations
- Highly organised, with the ability to juggle priorities
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Detail focused, with discretion handling sensitive information
- Confident using Microsoft Office and learning new systems
- Collaborative team player with a proactive, get things done mindset
Requirements: - Queensland Blue Card and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
